Today aku n anakanda kesayangan ku pergi ke UKMSC untuk 2 months vaccination. Prof Bilkis check Muiz and he is perfectly fine..Dah pandai bg respond bila di agah..seronok tgk dia cm2..after Prof jab Muiz with the vaccination, we sat down and discuss a bit more of the vaccination. Prof Bilkis suggest Muiz to get two additional vaccination as addedd protection for babies which are Pneumococcal vaccination and Rotavirus vaccination. Aku cm dah tak berapa ingat pasal this thing..ye la dah lama tinggalkan dunia bioperubatan..tp yang aku ingat, this two organism caused penyakit yang dahsyat jgak la..

Pneumococcal infection is a penyakit caused by a bacteria called Streptococcus pneumoniae. This organism live in the mucous lining of the nose and in the back of the throat. and bila banyak, they can cause an infection in the respiratory tract, middle ear, or sinus cavities. Mostly strikes children bawah umur 5 tahunand boleh caused penyakit yang berat la..Pneumococcal bacteria spread by close contact and through coughing and sneezing. Diseases including meningitis and pneumonia can crop up within days of infection. But this penyakit is preventable through vaccination and reported that the vaccine is effective in up to 90 percent of people who get it.

Rotavirus pulak is a virus yang commonly caused severe diarrhea pada kanak-kanak dan bayi. virus Rota ni adalah sangat agresif dan telah menyebabkan 2.7 million kes of severe gastroenteritis dikalangan kanak-kanak, hampir 60,000 hospitalizations, and sekurang-kurangnya 37 kematian setiap tahun di Amerika Syarikat. However, this incidents has significantly declines since the the Rotavirus vaccination been introduced.
According to Prof Bilkis, The Malaysia Paedriatric Association tgh fight untuk masukkan these two vaccination to Malaysia's immunization scheme but up to date belum successful lg..So she said, if we have extra money, why not invest for the health of the baby..because she said, frankly, the cost for these vaccination is a bit high la..and ada few doses yang kena ambil based on umur anak.. And since I sent my boy to nursery, the vaccination is highly recommended..
